PLEASE READ ENTIRE DESCRIPTION :
This is a kit developed to make the Avenger Bullpup more FUN, fast, and comfortable to shoot. It moves the cocking action forward of the trigger and can be done from the left or right side** (see notes on cocking below). It is made up of highly durable 3D printed parts, a machine-hardened steel linear rod, (not a cut off bolt or mild steel round stock) and a slider with a smooth brass bushing and handmade carbon fiber linkage.
This entire kit can be installed WITHOUT modification to the rifle, and is very easy to install. See short video below. I DO NOT INCUDE WRITTEN INSTRUCTIONS, REFERENCE SHORT VIDEO BELOW.
NOTES:
In order to easily and reliably use the cocking from the LEFT side the rifle must have a medium to light tune. I recommend RIGHT side cocking on .25 caliber. The hammer spring setting greatly affects the performance and feel of this system. In other words -- IF YOU HAVE A .22 tuned to get high FPE or a .25 the Left side cocking will not be as nearly as smooth or reliable as RIGHT side cocking.
The reason for this is there is inherently more torque on the system if using the left side. I have used a brass bushing and a high quality linear rod to mitigate this effect as much as possible.
OIL THE ROD!!
This is a must for good performance. Myself and my beta testers have used various oil with good success. Ballistol works well, as well as moly lube, or any light oil. If you feel the performance changing, add a few drops of oil directly onto the rod.
TUNING LINKAGE LENGTH
The Linkage needs to be long enough to provide adequate stroke to the cocking lever. In order to do this is should be adjusted to within 1/8" (or closer ) from the front rod mounting block with the bolt closed.
TECHNIQUE
Using the new system on your gun will take some getting used to. If you have the rod properly oiled, and have the linkage length adjusted, you will get nice and smooth, reliable cycling. Pull straight back on knob, and have a firm pull at the end of the stroke to compress the hammer spring and cycle the magazine. This will become second nature after a handful of magazines. Myself and my testers have put close to 3000 rounds on the system with no failures. Only a few double feeds, which were operator error.
The SILVER Cocking knobs I made to be more visible in photos, If you would like those let me know and I can include a set.
HAVE PLENTY OF AIR AND PELLETS READY - YOUR GOING TO NEED THEM !!
HAVE FUN AND HAPPY SHOOTING !!
